January 23, 24, and 25

January 31st, 2009 by mastersadmin

The weekend of January 23-25 was a very busy weekend for The Masters Quartet.  The weekend was started off with two brand new faces with the Master’s. Singing the tenor part is Scott Wilemon from Aberdeen MS, and the bass is Cassidy Jumper from Marietta MS.

The weekend was started off in Corinth MS, at the Down Town Coliseum. Master’s Quartet started the night off, followed by Heaven’s Journey Trio. Heaven’s Journey had a wonderful sound, and a great band.  Thelegendary Kingsmen Quartet hit the stage last. The Kingsmen came on stage, with thatold time Kingsmen sound that everyone loves.  We had a wonderful worship service.

Saturday morning begin early for the young members, as we hit the road to Kentucky. We arrived Saturday night at the Trader’s Mall Auditorium in Reidline KY. The concert included performances from the Moreheads, Smith Brothers Quartet, and the Master’s Quartet. Moreheads begin the night with a wonderful sound, and also wonderful instrumentalist. The Smith Brother’s Quartet came on the stage, and had wonderful classic quartet sound. The service was great, and met many wonderful people.

Sunday begin at Faith Baptist Church in Wickliffe KY. The Master’s Quartet started out the morning with the song service. After the worship service, the pastor preached a wonderful message. The people at the church were great, and several stopped by and told us some wonderful testimonies.

Sunday night the singing was at the Blandville Baptist church. We had an exceptional crowd on hand, for the service. The service was great, the two new guys got familiar with the songs the last night of the weekend. Even Donald and Cassidyjoined a couple of guys in the church on a great old gospel song, Sinner Saved by Grace. After the service, we joined the church in a fellowship meal. The food was awesome. We had a wonderful weekend of singing and worshipping.

We arrived back at home safely. Please continue to pray for us as we travel and spread the gospel of Jesus Christ.
