March 28 and 29
The Masters had a great weekend of good gospel music. We were in Peppertown MS, Okolona MS, and Houston MS.
Saturday afternoon begin in Peppertown. We were at the Friendship Firedepartment, for a fund raiser that the Friendship Baptist church was putting on. We got to hear some great bluegrass music by the Underwoods from Nettleton. We took the stage next, with some old time quartet singing. We had great time, worshipping with all the folks at Friendship, and look forward to coming back again.
Sunday morning begin in Okolona MS, at Carnation Baptist church where Bro Truman Carter is the pastor. We had a great morning service, including a wonderful message, by Bro. Truman. Afterwards we went to the fellowship hall for a great meal, that was prepared by the church. Also there was a small child that recieved Jesus Christ as his personal savior that morning, and that made the trip worth it all. That afternoon the Masters hit the stage, I’m not sure how we made it through as much food as we all eat. We had a great time, and was good to see friends and family that we hadn’t seen in a while.
Sunday night was in Houston MS, at Faith Bible Church where Bro. Johnny Cherry is the pastor. We arrived early and got some great practice in on some new songs, that went over really well. We took the stage at 6, we had a great time of worship and fellowship, and look forward to going back. After the service we moved in the fellowship hall, where we had a great meal. We had a wonderful time seeing new faces, along with meeting new people.
We had a great weekend of music, and worship this past weekend. We look forward to this coming weekend where we will be traveling to Nettleton at Cayson Baptist Church. Please continue to pray for us as we travel and do the Lords will. Untiil next time God bless you.
